San Diego State University is bringing the fun this concert season with the events coming to the Cal Coast Credit Union Air Theatre Stage. This venue brings thousands of music lovers, concert-goers, and fans of live entertainment together for once-in-a-lifetime events that you can’t afford to miss. When you’re visiting San Diego, why not drop into a concert at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre! This original outdoor amphitheatre is located on the campus of San Diego State University, in the greater San Diego metropolitan area.
With only 4,600 seats, this is a small capacity, compact amphitheatre, steeply raked to accommodate the higher levels. You can see bands in an intimate environment, outside under the stars. The amphitheatre itself is set in the midst of whitewashed campus buildings, surrounded by trees.
In partnership with Cal Coast Credit Union, SDSU’s Open Air Theatre continues to offer a great program. As well as concerts featuring bands new and old, campus and community members attend lectures, graduations and other ceremonies here. You can catch some of the newest talent here at CCCUOAT, or boogie to iconic bands from decades past. Performances already staged this year included Barenaked Ladies, Matchbox Twenty, Billy Strings, Lewis Capaldi, Goose, Banda Machos and Dead Can Dance.
Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre is enjoyed by families of all ages. It’s also fully adapted for visitors with disabilities, offering seats, parking, staff assistance and much more. Since it’s a university, ample campus parking is provided, and the amphitheatre is only 10 miles from central San Diego. The campus is served by two main public transit routes.
