The Icon of the Ranchera, Jorge Medina, has performed for thousands of fans in Latin America. Now, you can see this great singer in an open-air setting in Southern California. As the original lead singer of La Arrolladora Banda El Limón for almost two years, Jorge Medina was responsible for writing and singing the hits for the band, including "Si Me Amaras", "Quiero They", and "Te Voy A Olvidar" among others. Since his departure from the band, Medina has written and released powerful songs such as "Que Dolor", "Déjame", and his newly released "A Chicotazos" that demonstrate his distinct voice and style that blends classic norteño with modern-day edge and a realistic approach that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Young Jorge Medina started to learn music at the age of 13. It did not take long for everyone to realize that he was a very special kid with lots of talent and with a lot of potential to succeed in the musical field.
The Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air theatre is an outdoor amphitheater on the campus of San Diego State University. It is an open air facility with great seating whether you are sitting in a designated seat or on the lawn. The theater holds up to 4,600 people and is a very popular venue.
