It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour

Global R&B phenom Khalid will bring his highly-anticipated It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour to Southern California on Monday, June 22nd, 2026. His Southern California show will take place at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU. Shows will start with the gates and doors opening at 6:30PM, followed by full production show at 7:30PM. Khalid’s fans will once again pack the open-air theatre singing along to his hits about love and growth, immersed in all R&B and Pop music has to offer. Joining Khalid as special guest for the night will be indie-pop superstar Lauv. This North American concert run consists of 25 shows across the continent, including Las Vegas, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Nashville, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Austin, Phoenix, LA, and Berkeley and many more cities.

Khalid performs his most famous mainstream hits that shot him to stardom. His viral hit song, “Better”, will be performed live, along with additional smash hits such as “Eastside” and his collaboration with Lippsolly on “Eastside”, and many more fan favourite songs. His latest 2019 album, “Free Spirit” will also be showcased, giving listeners a taste of his growth as an artist and some of the new music that he has been working on. A 7-time Grammy nominee, Khalid is known as one of the most talented young artist today.

Indie-pop magic happens when Lauv, aka Ari Staprans Leff, plays his hitworthy bops. His single “I Like Me Better” got plenty of airplay and climbed the charts. You can look for a solo and group version of Lauv & BTS’s “Make It Right” on and between acts. Lauv’s 2020 album “~how i’m feeling~” gives an honest look into the artist’s anxieties, vulnerabilities, and general philosophical thoughts on life, all paired with melodic production. Songs like “I Like Me Better,” “Make It Right,” and “Stay Here” are fan favorites. Lauv has had the singles “I Like U,” “There’s No Way,” “Tattoos,” “Feelings,” “Kids,” and “Why” all certified platinum.

Where is the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air theatre? The Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre is located at 5500 Campanile Dr, San Diego, CA 92182. The Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre is an intimate al fresco venue located on the campus of San Diego State University. The theatre has a seating capacity of 4,600. Every seat in the venue offers a great view of the stage with tiered seating looking out onto the performance area. The theatre also has many ADA accessible seating locations for guests with disabilities. This venue is cashless but there are no-fee cash-to-card kiosms located throughout the theatre.
