“The concert was excellent! OV7 sang all their great songs, had awesome dance numbers, and did a fantastic job interacting with the crowd. It’s one of the best concerts I’ve been to!”
The Mexican pop group adds 10 more stops to their OV7 TREINTA tour, kicking off the US leg of the trip in San Diego, California. Here, the show will be hosted by the SDSU’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre, a 4500-seat stadium combining an exceptional acoustic experience with the fresh air and beauty of the outdoors.
Lidia Ávila, Ari Borovoy, Mariana Ochoa, M'balia, Érika Zaba, Óscar Shwebel, and Kalimba unite once more to give their fans a heartfelt gift for so many years of love and support. Featuring their greatest hits, such as “Love Colada,” “Te quiero tanto,” and “Shabadabada,” these stars will take you on a nostalgic ride through their generational career, from preteen years to their recent resurfacing. The event will also showcase their first new music in a decade, the 2023 pop craze “Quédate.”
The group originated as La Onda Vaselina (The Vaseline Wave), inspired by the musical rom-com movie Grease. In their early years, they performed Spanish covers of 50s and 60s hits and released their first three albums to massive acclaim. In 1999, they rebranded to OV7, bearing a more contemporary sound that topped Billboard Latin charts and garnered millions of album sales worldwide.
